The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD): how to prepare for it while minimizing effort and maximizing relevance?
The CSRD is a regulatory requirement that cuts across all sectors and standardizes companies' extra-financial reporting on ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) issues. It requires companies to publish not only data, but also progress plans (on decarbonization, waste reduction, water/air/soil pollution, biodiversity protection, etc., but also from a social point of view on gender equality, diversity and inclusion, guaranteeing a decent standard of living, taking into account the issues of the company's stakeholders, etc.).
It is therefore a subject that affects all the company's professions, and mobilizes the following functions during the project phase: CEO, CFO, HRD, CSR department
Come and chat with:
Speakers :
Valérie BASCHET, co-founder of Meaneo , CSRD expert , manager in the health sector for more than 15 years.
Guy FLAMENT , partner at Meaneo, manager in the Beauty sector for more than 25 years
In the program :
- The CSRD, why, what is it, who is concerned?
- What is a pragmatic path to prepare for the CSRD?

TOUR DE FRANCE OF COSMETIC REGIONS #1: HAUTS-DE-FRANCE
COSMETIC VALLEY inaugurates its Tour de France of the Regions by highlighting Hauts-de-France, leader in the export of cosmetic products.
COSMETIC VALLEY has launched its Tour de France of the regions, starting with Hauts-de-France, the leading exporting region of cosmetic products in France. This initiative aimed to meet members, discuss new development strategies for the sector, and strengthen links with local communities.
The Hauts-de-France Region positions itself as a major player in the cosmetics industry, attracting the biggest names in the sector. Giants such as LVMH, L'Oréal, Chanel, Colgate Palmolive and Unilever have established their presence, demonstrating the vitality of the region across the entire value chain, from production to research.
The industrial wealth of Hauts-de-France is reflected not only in the production sites of the leaders, but also through a diversity of companies contributing at each stage of the process. From mold manufacturers to renowned glassmakers like Pochet, Verescence and Stoelzle, including plastics manufacturers (Pijaplast, Qualipac, etc.), suppliers of raw materials (Roquette, Aiglon, etc.), manufacturers (Superga, Sarbec, Alkos, etc.), up to packaging and logistics companies, the region positions itself as an essential pillar of the sector.
In parallel with industrial strength, the Hauts-de-France Region also invests in research and innovation. The University of Artois, engaged with COSMETIC VALLEY, actively participates in certified projects linked to plant chemistry. Strengthening ties with institutions such as UTC Compiègne, ESCOM, and the University of Lille is a key objective to further stimulate innovation in the sector.
COSMETIC VALLEY got closer to its members by carrying out company visits during the period from November 8 to 16, 2023. These meetings allowed players such as Labosphere, Superga Beauty, Aiglon, HelioScreen and Pijaplast to share their projects innovation and explore the support opportunities offered by COSMETIC VALLEY.
The visit to Hauts-de-France concluded this Friday, November 24 with a network event, “COSMETIC CONTACT”. This event brought together 30 participants, marking a unique meeting between manufacturers from the entire perfumery-cosmetics sector.
