Reserve your place without further delay!

The hair market is undergoing a profound transformation driven by new consumer expectations: enhanced naturalness, scalp care, multifunctionality, and sophisticated rituals. Specialized brands for textured hair (types 3 to 4) are emerging with targeted products, while others are streamlining their offerings to offer all-inclusive ranges that integrate hygiene, care, and nutritional supplements.

The rise of scalp care, the rise of pre-shampoo treatments, dry shampoos, and leave-in products reflect a shift in traditional routines. Some consumers are favoring multi-use products, raw ingredients (e.g., pure oils), and active ingredients from skin care, and are adopting personalized approaches like DIY. Ayurvedic trends, the emergence of "spalons," and the gradual cessation of coloring after age 50 are reinforcing the shift toward more authenticity and new skincare models.

In this rapidly changing context, brands must address complex strategic challenges to reconcile innovation, naturalness, performance and credibility, in the eyes of a better informed and more demanding consumer.

The "Hair Odyssey" training course aims to build a solid and accessible scientific foundation to better anticipate, create, and collaborate between R&D and marketing. It provides a clear overview of biological fundamentals, hair disorders, and current cosmetic solutions to structure innovative, coherent, and differentiated projects in a rapidly evolving market.

Training "AI for Formulation - Mixing Plans"

New in 2025!

Save the dates in your diary and reserve your place > Session scheduled for December 10 & 11, 2025!

In the cosmetics industry, developing new formulations relies on a precise combination of ingredients with varying properties. Mix designs are AI-based statistical tools that optimize these formulations by exploring the influence of different components on the performance of the final product. This approach makes it possible to identify the best compositions while reducing the number of experiments required.

This training offers a structured and operational methodology for mastering mixing plans and their application in cosmetics, integrating constraints specific to formulations (stability, texture, cost, etc.).

Cosmetic formulators and researchers, R&D, Quality and Process engineers, Laboratory technicians involved in product development, this training is for you!

Educational objectives:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of mixing plans and their relevance to cosmetic formulation
  • Master the different types of mixing plans (with and without constraints, combined, screening)
  • Acquire a methodology to optimize formulations
  • Know how to analyze and interpret experimental results
  • Use dedicated software (Design Expert) to model and predict the performance of formulations

Targeted skills:

  • Design and optimize formulations using a statistical approach
  • Identify constraints and influential parameters in a mixing plan
  • Use software tools for data analysis and interpretation
  • Apply screening and combined planning methods.

Prerequisites: No technical prerequisites required

  • Format: In-person, 2 days (14 hours)
  • Place :   Cosmetic Valley Training Space , "Pivoine" Room (1st floor - elevator accessible to people with reduced mobility), 12 rue Saint-Michel, 28000 Chartres, 1 hour from Paris

A look back at 2 key actions carried out in Brittany

COSMETIC VALLEY continues its tour of France's regions: in Brittany✨

Cosmetic Valley continues its tour of France's regions and stopped off in Rennes for a new edition of its COSMETIC CONTACT . This event brought together various players in the cosmetics industry for a day dedicated to exchange and innovation.

The concept of Blue Beauty , centered on sustainability and marine resources, took center stage during the discussions. Sustainability expert Alice Vitoux highlighted the essential role of the ocean in the transition to a regenerative future.

The event, co-organized with Biotech Santé Bretagne and in the presence of Wilfried Verna , Deputy Director General of the Brittany Region, also highlighted the importance of regional collaborations to maintain French competitiveness in the global cosmetics market.

Feedback on field training: “Innovating with algae in cosmetics”

At the same time, Cosmetic Valley held a specialized training course on algae on September 18 and 19 in partnership with CEVA (Centre d'Études et de Valorisation des Algues). Organized on the Pen-Lan peninsula, this training alternated theory and practice, with field trips and laboratory workshops. Participants were able to explore the exceptional properties of algae and discuss the many opportunities they offer to the cosmetics industry.

Participants included representatives from companies such as SEPPIC , Laboratoires Expanscience , as well as Sonia Ramou, a young entrepreneur.

These two events marked an important step for the cosmetics industry in Brittany.
