COSMETICS IS AN INDUSTRY OF THE FUTURE

At the dawn of its 30th anniversary, COSMETIC VALLEY unveils its new major strategic orientations, with messages and actions connected to the challenges and new societal expectations. A committed voice, in the name of perfumery-cosmetics, dedicated to the leadership of French industry, and at the service of the 3,200 companies, 1,000 academic laboratories, 30 specialized training organizations and partner territories that make up this nice line.

On February 9 at the Château de Versailles, the competitiveness cluster presented its new roadmap and its 5 priority projects to all players in the sector (business leaders, researchers, institutions, regional representatives): recognition of the sector by public authorities in France and Europe; continuation of the Research and Innovation dynamic: key to competitiveness; promotion of trades in the sector; consolidation of the links between the actors of the sector and the reinforcement of the attractiveness; export support for SMEs and increase in French soft power.

COSMETIC VALLEY thus carries the voice of France throughout the world with a new communication at the service of the sector:

  • The new brand block recalls the industrial leadership of the cosmetics sector and positions COSMETIC VALLEY as the beating heart of the global cosmetics industry.
  • The creation of a FRANCE CARES FOR YOUR SKIN sector signature enshrines the sector in a promise that becomes a mission of general interest, rewarding for the entire industry. This signing is made for you! We invite you to download it here to show our international strength loud and clear!

Touch, sight, smell, sensory construction, cerebral translation of emotions, sensory design... The sensory is declined in each of these notions.

The well-being provided by consumer products is more than ever at the center of developments in all industries. But do we have all the codes to understand consumer expectations on well-being? Often understood as synonymous with comfort or softness, this concept from psychology encompasses much broader aspects. The consumer profile, but also the context of consumption, will thus lead to different expectations. The complementarity and convergence of scientific approaches such as sensory analysis, psychology or neurosciences now offer conceptual and methodological tools to address this complexity and to support innovation in a relevant way.

This Sensory 2021 congress offers an immersion in this integrative universe by putting the Human, its expectations, its perceptions, its emotions at the center of the discussions and allowing to take full measure of it to consider industrial developments in coherence with the expectations of the consumer. .
