Save the dates in your diary and reserve your place > Session scheduled for December 10 & 11, 2025!

In the cosmetics industry, developing new formulations relies on a precise combination of ingredients with varying properties. Mix designs are AI-based statistical tools that optimize these formulations by exploring the influence of different components on the performance of the final product. This approach makes it possible to identify the best compositions while reducing the number of experiments required.

This training offers a structured and operational methodology for mastering mixing plans and their application in cosmetics, integrating constraints specific to formulations (stability, texture, cost, etc.).

Cosmetic formulators and researchers, R&D, Quality and Process engineers, Laboratory technicians involved in product development, this training is for you!

Educational objectives:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of mixing plans and their relevance to cosmetic formulation
  • Master the different types of mixing plans (with and without constraints, combined, screening)
  • Acquire a methodology to optimize formulations
  • Know how to analyze and interpret experimental results
  • Use dedicated software (Design Expert) to model and predict the performance of formulations

Targeted skills:

  • Design and optimize formulations using a statistical approach
  • Identify constraints and influential parameters in a mixing plan
  • Use software tools for data analysis and interpretation
  • Apply screening and combined planning methods.

Prerequisites: No technical prerequisites required

  • Format: In-person, 2 days (14 hours)
  • Place :   Cosmetic Valley Training Space , "Pivoine" Room (1st floor - elevator accessible to people with reduced mobility), 12 rue Saint-Michel, 28000 Chartres, 1 hour from Paris

Hair Odyssey Training, a scientific journey from the root to the range

New in 2025!

Understanding the hair world to better innovate

2 possible sessions > Thursday, September 25 or Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Reserve your place without further delay!

The hair market is undergoing a profound transformation driven by new consumer expectations: enhanced naturalness, scalp care, multifunctionality, and sophisticated rituals. Specialized brands for textured hair (types 3 to 4) are emerging with targeted products, while others are streamlining their offerings to offer all-inclusive ranges that integrate hygiene, care, and nutritional supplements.

The rise of scalp care, the rise of pre-shampoo treatments, dry shampoos, and leave-in products reflect a shift in traditional routines. Some consumers are favoring multi-use products, raw ingredients (e.g., pure oils), and active ingredients from skin care, and are adopting personalized approaches like DIY. Ayurvedic trends, the emergence of "spalons," and the gradual cessation of coloring after age 50 are reinforcing the shift toward more authenticity and new skincare models.

In this rapidly changing context, brands must address complex strategic challenges to reconcile innovation, naturalness, performance and credibility, in the eyes of a better informed and more demanding consumer.

The "Hair Odyssey" training course aims to build a solid and accessible scientific foundation to better anticipate, create, and collaborate between R&D and marketing. It provides a clear overview of biological fundamentals, hair disorders, and current cosmetic solutions to structure innovative, coherent, and differentiated projects in a rapidly evolving market.

Directors, Engineers, R&D technicians in hair cosmetics, Project Managers, Marketing Managers, Scientific or Technical Communication Managers, or any employee wishing to acquire or consolidate the basics in hair cosmetics, this training is made for you!

Educational objectives:

  • Acquire a summarized and operational scientific vision of hair and the scalp
  • Understanding common hair disorders and associated cosmetic solutions
  • Understand the structuring of hair care ranges in hygiene and care
  • Facilitate dialogue between R&D and Marketing teams around a common knowledge base

Targeted skills:

  • Carefully choose ingredients and active ingredients through a refined understanding of their activity on the hair and scalp
  • Critically analyze the choices of formulation and ingredient charter
  • Collaborate more effectively between R&D and Marketing via a common language
  • Better frame product development briefs and structure hair innovation projects

Prerequisites: Cosmetics professionals wishing to develop or strengthen their hair expertise, structure new projects or understand this field from a scientific perspective accessible to all.

  • Format: Face-to-face, 1 day (7 hours)
  • Place :   Cosmetic Valley Training Space , "Pivoine" Room (1st floor - elevator accessible to people with reduced mobility), 12 rue Saint-Michel, 28000 Chartres, 1 hour from Paris

  • Group of 4 to 10 trainees
  • Member rate : €780 excluding VAT / trainee

“2D-3D Facial Imaging” Training

New in 2025!

Reserve your place without further delay for the first session scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2025!

Many techniques used for in vivo efficiency measurement can be direct. The values provided by these devices are directly linked to the parameters sought (PIE, Hydration, firmness, elasticity, etc.). Their interpretation is simpler. This is no longer the case when using in vivo imaging. Parameters are extracted from images, their contrasts, their colors or by performing algorithmic processing on these images. In addition, these images obtained under particular and often different lighting require positioning of the volunteer and a controlled environment.

How to ensure good quality image capture, and in good conditions ?

What factors in shooting affect results and what can be their impacts?

on the measure ?

How important are these factors depending on the 2D or 3D imaging technique used? Can 2D and 3D images be compared ?

What are the relevant parameters for each technique ?

Project Managers for Studies, Tests and Efficiency, In-vivo Measurement Technicians, Quality Responsible Persons, this training is made for you!

Industrialists, Laboratories, Quality control players, Maintenance or new works, Purchasing Department, Users of stainless steel tanks, this training module is aimed at you!
