Europe: A look back at the GO4Cosmetics and ACTT4Cosmetics events on May 6 in Brussels

On the occasion of Europe Month and the 2024 European Cluster Conference organized in Brussels, the partners of the European ACTT4Cosmetics project and the Go4Cosmetics interregional partnership met to set up their steering committees.

Go4Cosmetics: the platform which aims to generate new interactions between European players in the cosmetics industry .

Created in 2021, the European partnership Go4Cosmetics met in the offices of the Centre-Val de Loire region, where the Cosmetic Valley branch is present in Brussels, for its annual steering committee. The ecosystems of the Centre-Val de Loire region, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Lombardy and Sardinia (Italy), Centro (Portugal) and Lubelskie (Poland) took part in this meeting: the opportunity to discuss the various European collaborative projects for cosmetics-perfumery sector in Europe.

The partnership is delighted to count among its members a new French ecosystem: Brittany. Represented by the BioTech Santé Bretagne competitiveness cluster, Brittany represents an important innovation ecosystem in marine cosmetics. The Go4Cosmetics partnership now has 11 regions under its belt.

ACTT4Cosmetics: the European program dedicated to innovation for the cosmetics industry

On May 6, the members of the consortium met to take stock of its first year. Stemming directly from GO4Cosmetics, the European ACTT4Cosmetics project aims to prove that the cosmetics industry is an innovation sector of international scope.

It sets up an action plan based on 3 general objectives responding to the major challenges of the industry:

- The deployment of innovation through digital transition in the cosmetics sector

- Strengthen the green transition in the cosmetics sector to mitigate climate change

- Raise awareness among consumers/citizens about the cosmetics industry.

The opportunity to present to you the actions put in place for you in this year 2024!

COSMETIC VALLEY and its partners offer you 3 working groups to discuss the following themes :

□ La Cosmétopée, a group led by COSMETIC VALLEY ​: on the program, discussions around ingredients (inventory and identification of European plants, their traditional uses in cosmetics and their added value), the exploitation of natural ingredients (processes, eco-extractions, biotechnologies) and plant traceability

□ Digitalization in the cosmetics industry led by the Polytechnic School of Milan, on the development of a digital solution associated with the green transition

□ Opportunities for young people in the cosmetics industry , led by our Italian partner REI, in order to attract the general public to take an interest in the multiple professions in our sector.
