ACTT4Cosmetics - 2 Workshops in progress on green and digital transitions!
On the occasion of the steering committee which will be held this Thursday, November 7 in Milan, COSMETIC VALLEY offers you a look back at the first ACTT4Cosmetics Reflection Groups on the themes of green and digital transitions:
On Friday, October 18, as part of its ACTT4Cosmetics program, COSMETIC VALLEY organized its very first workshop, bringing together European experts and stakeholders around European Cosmetopoeia.
In a cosmetics market increasingly focused on natural products, this innovative concept is inspired by traditional pharmacopoeia by offering an exploration of natural resources (plants, algae, mushrooms, minerals, etc.) and their traditional uses for the care and well-being of the skin.
๐ก Morning program: After a presentation of the European ACTT4Cosmetics program and the results of the study on Cosmetopoeia in 2024, we were able to discover 3 speakers and experts on the following subjects:
- Inventory of ancestral knowledge in Europe: CeREF - HELHa Research and Continuing Education Center ) shared its work on the traditional use of plants for cosmetic applications and the development of current ingredients.
- Plant extraction and transformation processes: Greenpharma and the Institute of Organic and Analytical Chemistry - ICOA UMR7311 presented their thoughts on innovations in plant extraction processes for cosmetic applications.
- Traceability of cosmetic products: DNA Gensee presented its project aimed at ensuring end-to-end traceability of cosmetic ingredients.
This event was an excellent opportunity for discussions on the progress and challenges of Cosmetopoeia in Europe.
Following this, our Italian partner POLIMI, with the help of DEV'UP Centre-Val de Loire, Cosmetic Valley and REI, organized a first information meeting on Thursday, October 24 by videoconference on the Digital Transition axis.
The aim of this meeting was to discuss the objectives of the working group "AI and Digital Solutions for Sustainability Enhancement and Reporting in Cosmetics Industry".
Interested in a European working group to raise awareness among young people about the opportunities offered by the cosmetics industry? Our second Italian partner REI is in charge of this group!
