Launch of the book "Cosmetic Raw Materials – Natural Active Ingredients", 2nd edition

At the in-cosmetics Global trade fair, COSMETIC VALLEY Editions organized the official launch of the 2nd edition of the reference book "Cosmetic Raw Materials - Natural Actives" , on the bookstore of the COSMETIC VALLEY stand .

This scientific and technical book, dedicated to natural active ingredients in cosmetics , is fully in line with the major current challenges of the perfume and cosmetics industry, at the crossroads of biodiversity , scientific innovation and eco-design , from a perspective of sustainability and responsibility towards living things.

A launch attended by the stakeholders of the publishing project

This special event took place in the presence of Véronique Montero , coordinator of the book, several authors and contributors , as well as Anne-Marie Pensé Lhéritier , director of the Sciences collection at COSMETIC VALLEY Editions. She took the opportunity to reiterate the collection's ambition: to connect scientific rigor, professional expertise, and industrial challenges in order to support the evolution of the cosmetics industry.

A fully updated edition

Completely revised and expanded, this second edition incorporates new content and major updates, including:

• a new chapter dedicated to water in cosmetics , addressing its properties, uses and ecotoxicological issues;
• an update of regulatory frameworks , including in particular European developments and those concerning essential oils;
• an in-depth approach to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) applied to cosmetic products;
• an illustrated atlas of essential oils , facilitating their understanding and use in formulation.

Designed as a reference work , Natural Actives is aimed at both professionals (researchers, manufacturers, laboratories, brands) and students in cosmetic, scientific and biotechnological fields.

A work imbued with a strong editorial commitment

The publication of this new edition is also an opportunity to pay special tribute to Fabienne Roulleaux , who followed and supported this publishing project with dedication and high standards, and who passed away in November. This work bears the mark of her commitment and her dedication to the transmission of scientific knowledge in service of the industry.
