Let's work together to preserve water - launch of European working groups

💧 Water & Packaging: Imagining sustainable solutions together ♻️

A look back at the workshops of May 20, 2025 – Maison de l’Amérique Latine, Paris

On the afternoon preceding The Cosmetic Victories ceremony, Cosmetic Valley , in partnership with the European stakeholders of the ACTT4Cosmetics project, organized two collaborative workshops around crucial themes for the future of the cosmetics industry: water management and sustainable packaging solutions .

These workshops brought together a wide variety of participants – CEOs, R&D directors, academics and partnership managers – illustrating the wealth of expertise mobilized to bring out concrete and responsible ideas.

🌍 Focus on the issues discussed

  • Water: a strategic issue for the cosmetics industry
A central element of the value chain, water is today a major risk for the sector, due to the scarcity of resources.
The discussions focused on priority action levers: reducing dependence on water , recycling systems , and adaptation to environmental risks .

  • Packaging: towards sustainable and innovative alternatives
The workshop highlighted the progress and needs in eco-designed packaging, particularly through the sharing of practices between companies and research centers.

🚀 A collective dynamic in progress

Participants were invited to define action priorities , identify funding avenues , and work towards drafting a concept note by the end of 2025 , thus laying the foundations for collaborative projects with a high environmental impact .

🔜 Next step : videoconference information meetings will be organized in the coming months to explore the avenues discussed in more depth and support the co-construction of projects.
