GPM RESEARCH AND TRAINING PUBLIC RESEARCH LABORATORIES Activity Interest in cosmetic perfumery Research topic GPM's scientific activities are divided into five thematic departments: 1 - Scientific Instrumentation, 2 - Metallurgy, Microstructures, Mechanics, 3 - Functional Materials and Nanostructures, 4 - Disordered Systems and Polymers, 5 - Nano-analysis, Biology, Health. Experimental means Disordered systems and polymers: for many years we have been developing expertise in the physics of polymers and biopolymers used in packaging. This expertise concerns the links between complex microstructures in semi-crystalline materials and their properties in use. We have developed methodologies for estimating the evolution of properties over time during physical or chemical aging. The originality of our approach lies in the combined use of advanced calorimetric methods (ultrafast calorimetry and temperature-modulated DSC) to characterize semi-crystalline microstructures, X-ray diffraction and relaxation spectroscopies (mechanical or dielectric) to investigate microstructure, molecular mobility and the coupling between amorphous and crystalline phases.
